Reminder to students: Call Time is 4:00 PM in full uniform with instrument! The band room will be opened earlier for you to change.
A team photo of the 2011 Wildcat Marching Band will be taken this coming Friday, Sep 29, at 4:00 PM in the Main Gym at WHS. Students are to arrive and be in full uniform with instrument by 4:00. Section and individual photos will also be taken, and all photos will be available for purchase. Additional information about ordering photos will be made available soon.
After photos are taken, students will have a dinner break until 6:30 when we suit up for our Homecoming football game against Aloha! Go Cats!

Individual members’ dot sheets for “The Silver Scream” are now available under Forms > Student Forms > WMB. If you lose your dot sheet, make sure to print one out before the next practice!
September 15th is the third Thursday of the month, which means…Parent Meeting! Please join us at 7:00 PM in the WHS Choir Room. The meeting will last from 60-90 minutes and all band parents are welcome to attend.
Copies of class syllabi for Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band can be found on the ‘Forms’ page under ‘Student Forms.’ Students should have all received a paper-copy of the syllabus in class last week. The back page needs to be signed and returned by Monday, Sep. 12.
Why does the syllabus need to be signed?
The syllabus contains critical information about concert dates and grading policies. Parents have a DIRECT IMPACT on their students’ grades by assuring that their son/daughter has a functioning instrument to use in class everyday. Also, please be sure to cross-check your calendars now so that no concert will be missed. Concerts are considered exams and the impact to a student’s semester grade for missing a concert is quite severe. Much grief and agony can be prevented by taking action now. On behalf of the band “team,” I would like to thank every family for taking a few moments to do this now.
Due to warm weather, please wear BLACK SHORTS to tonight’s home game. Also, everyone should have on their red band shirt as we do at every home game (in the future, we will wear our bibs over the shirt).
